HISTORY OF RUN 21®
Run 21® is a Charity based organization focusing on the needs of children and Veterans.
Legal definition: Run 21® is an Entertainment admission venue control services, namely, the remote verification of a ticket validity upon presentation of tickets at an entertainment venue.
Basic definition: Run 21® is an all adult ( 21 & over) camp-out and music venue centered on the working class who also enjoy motorcycles.
About Run 21®: Run 21® has had 17 successful years in various counties. Run 21® is not a motorcycle club. We promote a safe environment for all attending. To begin with, the staff has meetings and many emails back and forth with The County commissioners, City, County and State police. In addition the different fire department leaders and their crews, Emergency preparedness, local hospitals, ambulance services, Health department, ODOT and the National Forest Service. Lincoln County Fire Department provided the First Aid last year and is looking to make this one of their sanctioned events for the following years.
Run 21® starts with a raw field, we bring in emergency fencing, mark off fire lanes, Contract Porta-Potties locally, bring in local food and trinket vendors. We bring in a stage, sound system and Generators. Next a licensed paid security crew comes in to work with our volunteer security team. For the remainder of the event. A mellow band performs on Thursday night for the early comers. Friday there is some mixed activities and music again. Saturday there is Motorcycle games and another night time concert. All sound Ordinances are followed. Run 21® carries a $2 Million insurance bond. In addition Run 21® has a Legal lease drafted up by an attorney to lease the property as to hold the property owner harmless.
The last 2 years that Run21® has been in the small town of Otis, Oregon and there have been no negative issues with our event. The Town has really embraced us. Last year we had a drawing where the attendees would deposit any signed receipts they obtained in Lincoln County from the week of Run 21®. Receipts alone that were turned in totaled close to $40,000. An educated guess would be closer to 3X that amount was brought into the community. The News Guard and Quick Throttle Magazine have given us several positive write-ups and Run 21® has received positive endorsements from Lincoln County Sheriff Lieutenant David Carey and Lincoln County Fire Chiefs.
In 2019 Run 21 was moved to a private property on Schooner Creek in Lincoln City, Oregon. Where again we had an incident free event. Furthermore, the community embraced us yet again. 2020 is going to be just as great at this location.
